Everyone interested in national defence and security has a unique opportunity to discover the latest technologies and equipment used by our armed forces and emergency services to protect and ensure the security of our population in Prague. Come with your children and expand your knowledge and skills in the areas of security, defence and emergency preparedness.

On 24 October 2026, PVA EXPO PRAGUE Letňany will host the Defence and Security Day, an event open to the general public. The event will follow the professional programme of the prestigious international Future Forces & Forum. Saturday will offer a full day of experiences, inspiration and practical demonstrations, as well as educational and awareness-raising presentations.

 

The programme for the entire day is being developed under the auspices of public authorities, the armed forces and emergency services. It is designed to present key aspects of our country’s defence and security to visitors in an accessible, engaging and attractive way.

 

The aim is not only to educate visitors in an engaging way, but above all to inspire young people and others to consider serving society and their country. The event will showcase real career opportunities and may help visitors when considering their future professional paths.

 

The programme will take place throughout the PVA EXPO PRAGUE complex in Letňany as follows:

  • outdoor demonstrations will take place in the gravel car park in front of the complex
  • indoor demonstrations and information stands of partner organisations will be located in Exhibition Hall 8
  • educational and awareness-raising presentations will take place in the exhibition centre’s conference rooms

 

Main programme topics:

  • National Defence System: How cooperation between the military and civilian authorities works
  • Emergency Preparedness: How to respond in emergency situations, including natural disasters and security threats
  • Cybersecurity: Protection in the digital environment, led by experts from the Cybersecurity Centre
  • Preparing Citizens for National Defence (POKOS): An educational project of the Ministry of Defence of the Czech Republic focused on raising defence awareness among the population
  • First Aid and Health Preparedness: One of the key pillars of a resilient society
  • Interactive workshops and emergency situation simulations
  • Dynamic demonstrations by security and emergency services
  • Inspiring presentations by experts and professionals with practical experience
  • An opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at professions that have a real purpose and impact

 

The programme will actively involve professionals from the following key partner organisations:

  • Police of the Czech Republic
  • Municipal Police of the City of Prague
  • Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic
  • Prague Emergency Medical Service
  • Czech Armed Forces
  • Prison Service of the Czech Republic
  • Customs Administration of the Czech Republic
  • Czech Red Cross
  • Cybersecurity Centre
