GAUDEAMUS ALKOTOUR 2023

GAUDEAMUS ALKOTOUR, founded in 2010 in Prague, is a unique series of student indoor and club events across the Czech Republic, taking place during October and November. Throughout the series, students from universities in the respective cities compete against each other for the prestigious title, which goes to the university/faculty with the most drinks consumed. The sum of their performances also puts the respective city in the inter-city competition.

The ranking is based on the tokens each visitor receives for the drinks purchased. These tokens are then dropped into the respective box of their university. Interim results of the joust are shown on an LED screen or projections in the club during the event.

In total, over 230,000 drinks have been consumed in the GAUDEAMUS ALKOTOUR across all cities since 2010. This is also thanks to the fact that after the sold-out parties in Prague, Brno and Ostrava, in 2017 the expansion also came to Pilsen and Olomouc.
