Depeche Mode: Memento Mori Tour
After five years, musical giants Depeche Mode embarked on the Memento Mori world tour, during which they will present their biggest show to date to Czech fans at Prague's Letňany Airport.
Commenting on the Memento Mori project, Martin Gore said: “We started working on this project at the beginning of the pandemic and its themes were directly inspired by that time. After Fletch's death, we decided to continue because we're sure he would have wanted it, and it really added meaning to the project." Dave Gahan added: "Fletch would have loved this album. We look forward to sharing it with you at our concerts.”
The Memento Mori Tour is Depeche Mode's 19th tour and the first in over five years. The final 2017-2018 Global Spirit Tour was the longest to date and was one of the highest grossing tours of the year, playing to over three million fans across 130 shows in Europe and North America.
Memento Mori is Depeche Mode's 15th studio album and the follow-up to 2017's critically acclaimed Spirit, which reached number one in 11 territories and reached the Top 5 in over 20 more. Memento Mori was released in Spring 2023 on Columbia Records.
To date, Depeche Mode have sold over 100 million records and played to over 35 million fans worldwide.
